volunteers essential for safe event...
21 Jun 2019
As the 20th July draws closer, we are delighted to have a familiar face of Raymond Linton back in our Carryduff Forklift Down Rally team for the second year.
Raymond will again take on the role of Chief Marshal and had this to say.
"Its great to have been asked to join the Carryduff Forklift Down Rally Team again for 2019, My role on the event is to recruit and compile a list of everyone offering their services on Saturday 20th July. I'll work closely with Gavin Campbell the event Safety Manager, the Stage Commanders and other Senior Officials to ensure we have a sufficient number of volunteers to safely run the event.
"We cannot stress enough the importance of these people to an event such as the Carryduff Forklift Down Rally. No matter how much work is put in by the organisers, it's these volunteers who turn up and help run the event on the day. They set up, run, break down and tidy up every inch of road the event covers.
"In the run up to the event I will speak to several Motor Clubs from throughout Northern Ireland, some of whom helped out last year, and I would ask that anyone who is available or interested in volunteering on the event to get in touch."
