R Kings Competitions new title sponsor of the 2025 Down Rally...
Rathfriland Motor Club are thrilled to confirm R Kings Competitions as the title sponsor for the 2025 Down Rally, which will be held on 19 July.
The 2025 R Kings Down Rally will be a counting round of both the Northern Ireland and UK National Asphalt rally championships with an expected 120 crews lining up in Banbridge to tackle 60 plus miles of classic stages in the local area.
Founded in 2018, Northern Ireland based R Kings Competitions was created with the sole intention of giving customers the opportunity to win prizes at a fraction of their retail value. To date, R Kings has given away thousands of prizes to its customers throughout the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland.
Announcing the association with the Down Rally, Mark Weir from R Kings said:
“Myself and the team at R Kings Competitions are delighted to be announced as title sponsors of the ‘R Kings Down Rally.’ We are looking forward to a fast, competitive and fun day of rallying in July. PROTYRE MOTORSPORT UK ASPHALT RALLY CHAMPIONSHIP RETURNS TO THE DOWN RALLY IN 2025...
Rathfriland Motor Club are excited to confirm that the Protyre Motorsport UK Asphalt Rally Championship will return to Northern Ireland for the Down Rally on 19 July 2025.
The BTRDA run series attracted 200 registered competitors in 2024 with 2025 expected to be just as popular with rounds in England, the Isle of Man, Scotland and Wales as well as Northern Ireland.
The Down Rally first featured in the championship calendar in 2019 and is a firm favourite with the championship front runners.
2024 newly crowned Protyre Motorsport UK Asphalt Rally Champion, Callum Black, commented
"There are lots of fantastic events in there, some really challenging rallies with some of the best stages in the UK has to offer. Returning to the Down Rally is a great addition as I loved this event in 2023.
"All of the events are well organised and have their own unique character. Competitors are in for a treat".

We are delighted to announce the Down Rally has won best event in the Protyre Championship for 2022, as voted for by the Protyre Championship Competitors. Thank you to everyone who makes the running of our event possible, from our Competitors, volunteers, sponsors, marshals who brave the weather on the day (rain or shine!!) and the wonderful committee that dedicate their spare time to make it all happen.
