carryduff forklift continue their support the down rally...
25 April 2019
With preparations well under way for the 2019 event we are delighted to call it the Carryduff Forklift Down Rally for a second consecutive year. The Carryduff based, family run business proved to be a great asset to the 2018 rally and their advice, support, and at times patience, really made the event the success it turned out to be.
Carryduff Forklift Sales Executive, Barry Greer said, "We were delighted to be involved with last year's Down Rally and the success that it was, made our decision to stay on as title sponsor for a second year, so much easier. The support from competitors, and speed that the entry list was filled, is a credit to the team of people from both clubs who were involved in the planning. We were out on the day spectating with some of our valued customers and we saw first hand the amount of people who turned up to run the event on the ground. We are grateful to all these people for making the event carrying our name, a memorable one."
"It was a delight to introduce our customers, some of whom had never been to a Motorsport event before, to a world our family have been involved with for many years. We will be out and about again this year and hope to see some of you in service or on the stages."
Andy Gilmore, back as Clerk of the Course added, "We are delighted to have Carryduff Forklift working with us again this year and are thankful for another year's support from the Greer family. Rathfriland Motor Club and Ballynahinch and District Motor Club will also continue to work together. We have a great team who now have a year's experience of working together under our belts and we hope to build on last year's success."
"In particular I look forward to welcoming our competitors back to County Down. Our team will endeavour to put on an event worthy of their support."
With both competitors and spectators travelling from near and far to enjoy last year's family friendly event, we hope to deliver more of the same in 2019. The format of this years event will remain similar, with just a few tweaks to both the stages and schedule.
